A preference and rejection of color depending from pain intensity and type of pain syndrome are studied. It was revealed that semantic color categorization of pain perception can be show as color scales. Patients with neu-rogenic and somatogenic pain syndrome, children with acute non-pathogenic pain and health subjects (control group) are preferred in intense pain - black and grey colors, in pain of average intensity - brown and red colors, in the absence of a pain - yellow and green colors. Patients with psychogenic pain syndrome associate pain of middle and high intensity with yellow, violet and red colors, and absence of a pain - with grey and green colors.

Key words: color, semantics, introception, pain syndromes: neurogenic, somatogenic, psychogenic, acute pain, preference, rejection.
