Psychology of individual and group subject of activity

(1st PART)

A. V. Brushlinsky

Corresponding member of RAS, director of IP RAS, Moscow

Thirty years ago B.F. Lomov organized Insitute of psychology in the system of Soviet Academy of Sciences (nowadays RAS). There were analyzed some main results of scientific researches held up in Institute for the last time within the framework of psychology of the subject of activity. The subject of activity means a man and people on the highest level (individual level for each man) of activity, integrity, autonomy, etc. That's why the subject of activity is the most general definition of a man. Personality is the less general characteristic of a man which reveals interrelation of only some but very important traits like extraversion - introversion, anxiety, rigidity, etc.

Key words: Institute of psychology RAS, the subject of activity, personality, individuality, individuum, group.
