Our Building. .

Now we will show you round our companys building. The layout will help us. It is on the ground floor. You can see it on the wall next to the board showing the number of the floor each company is. Our company is on the ground and first floors and in the basement. The floors from two to seven are occupied by the other companies. The 7th floor is the top floor of the building. Our reception is on the ground floor. And downstairs, in the basement we have the canteen with the kitchen, the post room, the fax room and the stationery store. We also have a switch-board room. Our firm is rather large and we use not only external but internal phones too. And the switch-board is used for internal numbers. Ladies and Gents toilets are on alternative floors. As I have already told you, the building has 8 floors. Thats why we have not only stairs but lifts too. On the ground floor there is a medical room.

I work in the sales department on the first floor, room 107. You can use the lift or just walk upstairs. Come out of the lift on the first floor if you dont want to walk, take the corridor on the right. Room 107 is at the end of the corridor on the right opposite room 105. You are welcome.

Dear Janet,

Thank you for your letter. I am always very happy to hear from you. Everything you do is so exciting.

I am sitting here in the office with nothing to do. I am waiting for 5.30 so that I can go home. Work is very boring at the moment. I do the same things every day. I always get up in the morning and I travel to work every day by tube and train. I do the same things at work and I usually have lunch in the same canteen. Twice a week I go to the cinema. And once a month I go to Epping to see you. Never mind. Im leaving work next week and Im getting married in November. At least thats exciting.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Much love,Joy.
