Obsolete and special-purpose printing technologies

The following technologies are either obsolete, or limited to special applications though most were, at one time, in widespread use. Most of these printers were limited to monochrome, or sometimes two-color, printing in a single typeface at one time, although bolding and underlining of text could be done by "overstriking", that is, printing two or more impressions in the same character position. Impact printer varieties include, typewriter-derived printers, teletypewriter-derived printers, daisy wheel printers, dot matrix printers and line printers.

There are different types of projectors. They are the following:

1). Image projector, a device that projects an image on a surface 2). 3D projection, a method of mapping three-dimensional points to a two-dimensional plane. 3). Video projector, a device that projects a video signal from computer, home theatre system etc. 4). Movie projector, a device that projects moving pictures from a filmstrip 5). Slide projector, a device that projects a still image with a transparent base 6). Overhead projector, a device that projects a transparent image 7). Opaque projector, a predecessor to the overhead projector 8). Planetarium projector, a device that projects images of sky objects 9). Enlarger, a device used to produce photographic prints from negatives.

Computer speakers, or multimedia speakers, are speakers external to a computer that disable the lower fidelity built-in speaker. Computer speakers range widely in quality and in price. The computer speakers typically packaged with computer systems are small, plastic, and have mediocre sound quality. Some computer speakers have equalization features such as bass and treble controls.
