The ways to use the explanatory potential of term "categorial attitude" for system research of the attitude behaviour are suggested. The main results of investigation of personal functioning as a attitudinal system under persistent changes in outer life context are presented. Categorial attitude is considered as a system psychological formation determined by individual combination of psychological factors. It was shown that changes in macroconditions of life play important role in catergorial attitude's transformation. Different types of personal categorial attitude were distinguished. There was revealed the correlation of this types with individual characteristics, orientations in sense of life and hierarchy of personal values.

Key words: attitude, categorial attitude of personality, significance, semantic space, orientations in sense of life, values.
