SCIENCE FILM FESTIVAL

We have received over 150 films from 18 countries this year, a selection of which will comprise the festival programme in each of the Science Film Festival host countries.

The Science Film Festival presents a variety of films in the following categories: Family Edutainment, Ecology and Environment, Natural Science, Life Science and Technology, and Culture and History to serve all age groups, but with a particular focus on content for young audiences.

We invite you to look forward to a wide range of choices at the Science Film Festivals in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam!

The Science Film Festival, initiated by the Goethe-Institute in 2005, enjoys a unique position: it presents films, which communicate technological and scientific issues accessibly and entertainingly to a broad audience. Through this approach, the festival encourages a culture of science films that effectively combines education and entertainment, demonstrating that science communication and learning can be fun.

In addition, the festival offers a platform for intercultural exchange through which different approaches to the world of knowledge converge. All films are synchronized into the local languages to provide greater accessibility.

We screen the best science films from around the world!

Enjoy!
