HEAVENLY PIES  RESTAURANT

W a i t e r. Hi. Welcome to Heavenly Pies. May I take your order?                                           M a n. Uh… yes. I’d like the  chicken fried steak.

W a i t e r. Okay.  Would you like fries, bread, or rice with your meal? M a n. Umm. I’ll take the  rice?

W a i t e r. Would you care  for anything to drink? M a n. Yeah. I’ll take a medium orange juice.

W a i t e r. I’m sorry. We only have  large or small. M a n. Well, in that case, uh, I’ll have  a small one.

W a i t e r. Okay. A small juice. And what kind of dressing would you                                

like with your salad. It comes with the  fried steak.

M a n. What dressings do you have?

W a i t e r. We have  French, Italian, blue cheese, and ranch. M a n. Oh! Ranch, please.

W a i t e r. Would you like anything else?

M a n. Well, I’d like  to see your pie menu. That’s the  main reason why

I like to dine  here.

W a i t e r. Oh, I’m so sorry, but  we aren’t serving pies today. M a n. Huh?

W a i t e r. Well, it usually is, but, Dave, our baker, slipped in the kit-                                    

chen  two days  ago,  and  hurt his leg.  He’ll  be out  for  at least two weeks. In the  meantime, we’re  serving ice cream sundaes instead. Sorry.

M a n. Wow. I’m sorry to hear that. Well in that case, I’ll have an ice                                

cream sundae.

W o m a n. I’ll be back with your order in a few minutes.
