Psychological privacy is defined as a way to create and support the identity by selection of outside contacts and information. The privacy develops in distance, personal space, territoriality and personalization. Empirical data about correlates of psychological privacy are considered; advantages, lacks, applied outcomes and prospects of the discussed approach are analyzed.
