Course title: Philosophy.Basic part of Block 1, 2 credits.
Instructor: N. R. ozhemyachenko, candidate of Philological Sciences, associate professor.
At the beginning of the course a student should be able to: −express thought orally and in writing in accordance with grammatical, semantic and cultural norms of the Russian language;− possess the basic thesaurus of social science disciplines.Learning outcomes: as a result of studying this discipline the students form the following General cultural (elements of competency):
OK-8: the ability to use the basics of philosophical knowledge to form a worldview.
Course description: Philosophy seeks to develop students in a holistic systemic view of the world and the place of man in it; to stimulate the need for philosophical assessments of historical events and facts of reality; to expand the knowledge of future professionals and to enrich their knowledge of future professionals and to enrich their spiritual world; to assist the formation of personal responsibility and autonomy; to develop interest in fundamental knowledge.
Philosophy course consists of two parts: historical and theoretical. With the development of the historical and philosophical part, students are introduced to the process of change in human history, types of knowledge, because of the specific culture of individual countries and historical periods, its patterns and prospects. The theoretical section includes the basic problems of existence, knowledge, man, culture and society, considered both in a reflexive and value plans.
