In a recent discussion with a friend she shared with me that her son was graduating college with a marketing degree, but had not done any internships or landed an entry-level marketing job.

She was concerned and I can understand why.

In today's economy there are many experienced marketing professionals that have been laid off and are looking to re-establish their marketing career by re-entering the workforce. This means that those looking for entry level jobs or internships will face fierce competition and companies will have to make the decision on whether to hire someone who is experienced or someone who has recently graduated.

What does this mean for college students and new graduates today?

IFTTT - Save Time and Automate Your Social Media Marketing Tasks

I'm sent books to review, software to review, and marketing services to review. I always appreciate them, but at times the volume can be overwhelming.

This week I was referred to a service that caught my attention, because not only could it help me in being consistent in marketing efforts, but it also saved me time. If you are a marketer like me, which if you are reading this I'm sure you are you can understand the need for saving time. It seems our days are getting busier and busier that we often leave our work day with more tasks on our "to-do" list than what we started with.

Ok, enough about that - on to the tool that create not only an excitement but a sense of urgency to share it with you.

It's called IFTTT - it stands for "If This Then That."

Confused yet? Don't be, I believe with a little practice and minimal time this tool can be one of your favorites as well. Learn how IFTTT helps me in automating tasks not only to help in my own marketing efforts, but to assist the marketing efforts of clients read my review of IFTTT.
