1. Fiat Allis new 754C four wheel drive loader replaces the 745B and HB machines. 2. The C series machine has a 3.1m bucket as standard and uses six cylinder 8.5 liter turbocharged diesel to produce 212 hp at 2.200 rev\min. 3. Power is fed to the wheels and hydraulics through an Allison twin turbine four forward and two reverse speed semiautomatic transmission. 4. Speed changes between ration 1 and 2 during the digging and spotting part of the cycle are automatic. 5. On load and carry operations the operator can powershift to the high range and level the box to select ratios 3 or 4 automatically to match speed and ground conditions. 6. Among the more important improvements are the axles which are more identical front and rear, both being of much higher capacity. 7. Benefits include an extra 77 mm track width and the ability to fit up to 26.5 x 25 tyres to improve flotation where necessary. 8. Another improvements is the fitting of disc brakes to give higher and constant stopping power in all site conditions. 9. The pads can be changed without removing the wheels. 10. Significant changes have been made to the front end equipment to increase the C series performance and capabilities. 11. First, dump clearance height has been increased by 177 mm to 3.1 m allowing the machine to load bigger capacity trucks or high sided hoppers. 12. Forward reach at full height and 45 dump is 0.9 m with standard bucket. 13. The loader hydraulic circuit pressure has been increased to produce greater breakout force. 14. Fiat Allis claims that field trials are providing up to three times the normal life with the new C series buckets. 15. Components such as teeth, shanks and cutting edges have been almost doubled in weight.
