A sea turtle
The first sea turtle lived on Earth 150 million years ago. Nowadays, there are 300 types of turtles in the world. The biggest one is the Leatherback Turtle. It is two metres long, and its weight is about 600 kg. Turtles have hard shells made of 59 to 61 bones. These shells are part of their skeleton, so turtles can never leave them.
Scientists believe the sea turtle can live for one year without eating any food. The sea turtle lives up to 80 years. The sea turtles food is crabs and jellyfish. It is the jellyfishs number one enemy!
Some sea turtles migrate thousands of miles on regular routes to nesting spots, much like birds. These world travellers return every two or three years to the same beach to lay their eggs.

The rules were quite strict: to run as fast as possible with a frying pan in your hand. Its not easy, is it? My mum didnt win the race, but she wasnt upset. I like this autumn celebration. I think its only celebrated in Britain. At the beginning of November there are several evenings of colourful fireworks all over the country. We usually go to the country with my uncles family and have a nice party. We make a big fire, cook special food like sausages and jacket potatoes and, of course, set off fireworks.

My little brother just draws a picture of flowers, but I have to clean the house, help my father to prepare a special dinner and then put all the dishes into the dishwasher. I dont think a turtle is a good idea. Keeping a pet is a great responsibility. Youd have to speak to Sam first. Lets leave that idea for next year. I think the book is perfect.
All right. Lets go to the bookshop upstairs. Ill buy the present and then we can go to the cinema. Theres a new adventure film about a contemporary Robinson Crusoe. Have you seen it?
