Child's imagination: nature and development

The logic-psychologically alternative to traditional consideration of imagination as a universal quality of consciousness is presented. The fundamental attributtes of imagination - sense realism and ability "to see the whole before its parts" - are discussed. The place of imagination in the structure of creative potential (including the problem of imagination and thinking interrelation) and its function in mental child's development are considered. There are emphasized the social-communicational nature of imagination and it internal positioning. The article concerns diagnostic methods, imagination development in the pedagogic practice illustrated using empirical data and author's results.

The psychological problems of professional marginalism understood as a loss of professional identity during sociogenic professional crisis that is mostly relevant in the socially significant types of labour are considered. The genesis of the problem is presented, the peculiarities of the term "professional marginalism" are defined, the choose of research area (socially significant types of labour) is substantiated. There are discussed the methodological principles and aspects of research on professional marginalism, the models of it origin and psychological peculiarities of professional marginals in concrete types of socially significant labour are presented.
