Omsk college of Management and Law

I am a second-year student of Omsk college of management and law. I am a future accountant. My fellow-students study at different faculties of our college: technological, commercial, accounting and law faculty. The future work of our graduates is not easy, so they are to learn hard to be ready for that work and to study many different subjects which are important for it: Criminal Law, Civil Law, Labour Law, Marketing, Management, Accounting and others.

The students study theory in the classrooms of the college. They work hard because besides lectures on different subjects they have much practical training at different institutions. Special subjects are not the only subjects in the curriculum. The students study some socio-political and theoretical subjects such as Polytology, Foreign Languages, Psychology and others. These subjects are to form the students world outlook and to improve the overall quality or their general education. It is not easy to be a good specialist. A qualified specialist must have not only deep knowledge of a particular field, he must know a lot of different information.

Our students have excellent opportunities for getting education. There are special well-equipped laboratories for practical work, a good reading hall and rich library. The students have their practical training at the Peoples Court, at different shops, firms and enterprises.

Students are to take tests and exams on each subject included into the curriculum. As the academic year is divided into two terms, tests and exams are held in December and June. And then if all the tests are passed successfully and a single exam is not failed the students have wonderful vacations: two weeks in January and two months in summer. At the end of the course of study the students take state exams. During studies and the examination period our students are given different kinds of assistance by the teachers.

The students have to do their best in using all the opportunities. They must attend lectures, practical classes and not miss seminars.

Much attention is paid to the studying of Foreign Languages: French, German and English. Our students have practical classes in Foreign Languages once a week, the attendance of which is obligatory. As the Foreign Languages are reading subjects, the students must work at them hard. There are some tape-recorders in the college. This helps to improve teaching process.
