Since design is a new specialty in Russian education system, theory and methodology of design education are still being formed. The article shows the inseparable interconnection between culture as an integral system and design projects as specialized cultural forms. Cultural meaning is an inherent part of any design project. In-depth and extended study of culturology as part of future designers education can provide deeper understanding of cultural meanings, processes, phenomena and norms, and thus have significant impact on creative transformation of reality through designers activity.

At each step of training of students of is art-graphic faculties creative and educational problems should be in close interrelation, reasonably be combined. It is necessary remember always what problems should to be dominating in this or that task, the work form, at this or that grade level. In the academic statements at the decision it is accurate tasks in view, the creative beginning, the active relation to nature isn't excluded. It is important to understand that the pupil should seize all sum of professional knowledge and skills necessary base for the further creative work. Ample opportunities for display of creative abilities of pupils are given by drawing on representation, on imagination, on memories, performance of independent and competitive works, any tasks on a composition.
