There are often problems with authorities. They don't know our ways. But we hold talking circle with them, listen to their concerns, share, make plans with them to allay their concerns and in the end they accept us.
Don't believe the fear. There are 400 people there now.
People posting about cancel are only spreading fear.
The family needs you. GO TO rainbow quickly. The more people who are three, the safer we are.

Silver Silvia Yes they say it s the normal routine problem. Police is just looking and not aggressive. The more people coming there the more difficult for them to move them. I am going tomorrow!

The current situation in the Kaiserau:
The police has a large contingent of about 100 men (policemen and women), equipped with batons, etc. in the camp to evacuate this on behalf of Mr DI Helmut Neuner economic director of Admont. Whether this action is carried out without authorization of this, or is arranged with the abbot Bruno Hübl OSB, is unknown.
It has built up a large Red Cross tent for injured and traumatized people in the parking lot and at least 6 ambulances are provided.
An ORF team and other media Represented are on site.
The mood in the parking area is friendly and relaxed according to the situation. Police make suggestions on where the Rainbow family could dodge.

Perhaps that should refer to the gentlemen of Admont times in their Universal Manual (Bible), what the Lord Jesus to say on the subject has (Matt 25, 43 "I was a stranger and you did not welcome me", "-.. what have done to the least of my brothers ", etc, etc). Or not applicable here? But oh so, there goes yes "real" values, such as money and property rights, as you have to differentiate course...

The comparison is misleading
Maybe they would have allowed to stay if they had it previously discussed with the abbot and discussed the conditions, instead of making just wide. That is the difference between "property" seek and conquer border clean. That did something the "pacifists" was the latter

Im Ennstal tourism towns must if you camped you pay. To do this requires money for the cross-country skiing. Reason is each year must be cleaned from paper meadow. Circuses etc. must at community request, and bill. And now to Wild camp be free.? Kaiserau is anyway already whacked by the motorcycle tourism. Illegal is Illegal.

Sure, it comes to money. The possession interferers take a piece of ground to complete, use it, trample it and the owner must pay the cost for it.
Although no garbage should be back (which I doubt), the meadows are thoroughly secure affected.

... Perhaps the trampled meadow grows by itself again and I have no problem with it... I do not belong to the species' meadow with the nail scissors to cut, so she is more beautiful than that of the neighbors "- mean is not mowed often 3 weeks so a flower meadow has something! but it's not really about the people... there are not hopeless which the consumer prescribed (wish indeed many secretly) and that bothers the most!

Do you know if these fields are not used there, as for hay? Then it will not help if they nachwachst - because these mowing you can forget.
What bothers me is the people only if they indeed live in a society, but does not follow the rules. Whether this is now camp in the wilderness or something else, is pretty damn.

Interestingly, the richest institution in the world has problems with a group of people (more than 400 - for God's sake!?) to make camp on a small patch forest floor? They could indeed behind a tree relieve themselves (such as cows, but bring with them yield)! Since these people have verschriebn environmental protection among other laudable ideals, you have to do there is no worry about waste, contrary to some hikers or tourists but... guess - make money again! For 400 I have unfortunately no place, but a few can come quietly on my 800 m2!

OK, so I really don't understand how come the invitation is made before the location is certain, and how come the scouters didn't ask the permission of the owner, before they make the invitation??
And how come this ridiculous mistake happens again a few days later, with the second location?? How come people are so irresponsible to make this failure two times, one after the other??

Shalon Sims Sister, I understand you are upset, but don't point fingers. You aren't there and you don't know what happened. I heard that they asked permission from a farmer who lived on the land, but when the land owner find out, he called the cops. The scouts didn't know the farmer wasn't the owner. That's what I heard.
Anyway, in a rainbow, if you see a job, or a job done poorly, it's yours!

This is part of the scout job to ask permission, isn't it? you are right, I'm not there, that's why I'm asking it. To learn from the mistakes! But come on! Asking the permission is one of the main part of the scouting job, so this is unbelievably irresponsible and ridiculous to miss this part of the process. This "do it better yourself" just a general defend, and not taking the responsibility for the actions!

I will add..when you make a job...DO IT At YOUR BEST!! otherwise don't do it!!.. many things to evaluate on a scouting mission! and all have to be done at the best.... thousand people will gather based on this.. and any big problem will be a trouble after.. but here I see there was too much approctimation on the place (all the alps) and this create a.. someone other will do it.. attitude.. and then difficult communication between families and evryone giving little timefor scouting cause of their evryday life duty.... and so on to arrive at the end without a proper place... this may be of teachings to all you who never put efforts on a scouting mission... when someone invite somewhere for a big gathering he should always FEEL responsible even to find a place and put energy in find the good accomodation without problems... too easy to make an invitation and after going to south america for travelling!.. Achim Sternthaler I do not believe this was an error of individual scouts. It is a problem of structure, or better the lack of structure. I was trying to help with scouting since last autumn. I repeatedly asked for a connection to the scouting team on different channels - nothing. There was no mailinglist, no wiki, no regular meeting. The disorganization was highly exclusive to people like me who wanted to organize but do not have personal connections. The problem starts with the vision council last year in lithuania. The brothers and sisters who opted for the alps are responsible to create communication infrastructure, for example a mailinglist and invite regular meetings. We used to go squatting a lot in vienna ten years ago and we always managed to start regular meetings and had a complete database with pictures and descriptions of empty houses. I wonder why the anarchist community is more capable of organizing than the rainbow community. Both are run in a grassroot democratic way, but rainbows knows shit about proper organizing and are way more loose knit. And when people like the original poster criticize they start the old "do it yourself" game. The critique is a critique of a lack of structure, it was impossible for me to contribute to this mess called scouting / rainbow.
