Resume

In this undergraduate thesis we made an attempt to investigate the shaping process of English phonetic competence, create new methods of teaching to provide a brand-new process of practice and learning of speech by pupils.

The research paper consists of a preface, two parts and one supplement. The thesis consists of twenty seven pages. The list of literature accounts twenty seven sources, one of which in English.

In the first part linguistic and psychological peculiarities of teaching of phonetics are substantiated, the interconnection between aims and matter of phonetics teaching is deduced.

In the second part the criteria of selection and distribution of phonetic materials are shown, the set of exercises necessary for formation of phonic competence is elaborated.
