Summary.

Turkic peoples, any of various peoples whose members speak languages belonging to the Turkic subfamily of the Altaic family of languages. They are historically and linguistically connected with the Tu-chüeh, the name given by the Chinese to the nomadic people who in the 6th century adfounded an empire stretching from Mongolia and the northern frontier of China to the Black Sea. Turkish khanate was a great empire and greatly layed the cultural foundation of Kazakh nation. They built great cities, they had their own writing and language. Also they left to us their literature. They participated in The silk road. At first their religion was Tengriism. They idolized Tengri, the sky god and Umai, patron of hearth and children. Then they accepted Islam and until now Islam is the main religion of Kazakhstan. Also turkic left to us their sculptures and monuments which until now scientists are trying to decipher.
