The Students Trade Union organisation of the NNCI plays a crucial role in student self-government at the Institute. It defends the students' rights and in case of emergency supports them financially using its funds. It also helps students enjoy discounts when using the local public transportation system and visiting cultural and enterntainment events. Membership of the NNCI's trade union organisation is free and easy for every NNCI's full-time undergraduate and postgraduate student.
The Institute is also known for its widely spread international activity. It develops a long-term and close co-operation with the academic establishments in the UK, the USA, Canada, Germany, Cyprus, China and other countries. The lecturers of the NNCI use the most effective elements of the European teaching technologies. Some courses are accredited within the international standards.
Career prospects for our graduates are very good as they have a solid educational background in many subjects and numerous opportunities for career knowledge and skills development. Graduates of our Institute are always in demand. NNCI's Career Centre renders all kinds of career support to our graduates and maintains relations with hiring companies. Interaction of the NNCI and business community bears fruit. In 2004 - 91%, in 2005 - 93% and in 2006 94 % of NNCI graduate students landed on their jobs within first two months upon graduation.
The NNCI is growing. Its branches have appeared in such cities, as Yaroslavl, Syktyvkar, Penza. The Institute has some training centres in Nizhny Novgorod region too. Distance learning is also becoming increasingly popular.
