1:The story Alice in Wonderland was told Alice and her sisters on the famous picnic on 4th of July, 1862. Alice had asked him to write out a story for her. Having told the story and been begged by Alice Liddell to write it down, Dodgson eventually (after much delay) presented her with a handwritten, illustrated manuscript entitled Alice's Adventures Under Ground in November 1864. But Carroll had no idea of publishing it. But his friend George Mc Donald was able to persuade him to publish Alice

Carroll always loved children. He enjoyed playing with children, going on trips and corresponding with them. His favourite child was Alice Liddel for whom he often invented stories and who became the model for Alice. What kind of girl is Alice in your imagination?
