Практикум предназначен для аудиторной и самостоятельной работы студентов 1-2 курсов гуманитарных факультетов. Пособие содержит блоки упражнений, направленных на отработку грамматических тем, изучение которых предусмотрено программой учебного курса. Также в практикуме представлен набор обобщающих тренировочных тестов, позволяющих проверить степень усвоения студентами пройденного грамматического материала. Все задания направлены на развитие письменной и устной коммуникативной компетенции студентов в процессе изучения иностранного (английского) языка в вузе.
При составлении практикума использовались учебники следующих авторов: Е.С. Музланова, Р. Мерфи, Т. Камянова, С.И. Блинова, Т.Г. Николенко.
