POSTER PRESENTATION

Displays of posters are increasingly popular in academic settings and are primarily interactive events. Usually the creator of the poster gives short, spontaneous presentations in response to questions. Its one of a series of more formal presentation which are prepared in advance.

Using poster is a good conversation start or summary of work.

Well-organized poster uses graphics and images and a limited amount of text. It presents a lot of information quickly and efficiently

Use the guidelines (logical order of a poster):

2) Layout & Design;

3) Methods;

4) Putting the different parts of the poster together (using ↑→↔◊<> etc.)

5) Collation or gathering of material from different sources in conclusion

Scandinavia, the Crown of Civilisation: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland

Scandinavian countries have become the most highly developed nations, culturally superior to the rest of the world, the true crowns of human civilisation. They epitomizeEurope's society-first democracy

and capitalism. They lead the world in many endeavours of Human development, science and social development. This page is witness to much of that success. But no human endeavour is without downfalls, Scandinavia has some crime, some very expensive living costs and (oddly) the occasional high suicide rate.

There are 8 locations that fall within this category. By adding up all the known populations that fall within these locations, and summing their physical land areas, we can calculate population densities. Some islands and territories can end up being counted twice depending on how they are classified and divided up politically, but, mostly such errors involve only small populations. So, some data on this collection of countries in total:

Compare to other regions of the world

  • Total Population: 27.12 million
  • Total Land Area: 1 204 946 km2
  • Independent States: 6
  • Other Territories: 2
