Our Institute

I study at the Taganrog Pedagogical Institute. It was founded in 1952 Our Institute has a day-time and an extra-mural department with about 5 thousand students studying at them. There are 6 faculties at our Institute. They are....

Our Institute has about 20 chairs, a lot of research and experimental laboratories with many good specialists working at them.

Any man or woman having a secondary educating may enter at our Institute. I entered it in 1999. Now I'm a first-year student. I study at the faculty of physics and mathematics. My favorite subject is physics. I study by correspondence.

The academic year starts on the first of September and ends on the first of July. It's divided into 2 terms. At the end of each term the students take their exams.

At the beginning of the term external students get all the teaching material and different kinds of test-papers in all the subjects. They do the test-papers in writing form and send them to the Institute for marking. They (the students) come to the Institute twice a year, at the end of each term. Here they have lectures, classes, consultations and then take their tests and exams. The training course at our Institute lasts 5 years.

The students of our Institute have at their disposal all kinds of laboratories, a good library and a reading hall. The laboratories are provided with the most up-to-date equipment. The students make different experiments and carry on research work there.
