ANNOTATON
The aim of the work is to review and analyze types of biometric authentication, define and research methods of their implementation.
Biometric characteristics of the person, which are used for authentication, were under investigation. The user authentication system based on the digital fasial image were observed. Also, analyzed of the modern methods of biometric authentication was carried out; their advantages and disadvantages were described.
During investigation it was discovered that biometric authentication systems are reliable, convenient and effective in use.
