The analysis of contemporary approaches to the problem of sex- role personal characteristics' influence on the adaptation and self- regulation processes is presented. The possibilities to apply some approaches studying sex-role personal structure toward the solution of theoretical and practical problems of clinic psychology are discussed. The modem multidimensional and dynamic models of adaptation in the framework of Self-concept are considered, the perspectives of their application to actual problems of mental health are analyzed.
