The objectives and tasks of the course. This program is designed to provide psychologists with the basic knowledge about socio-political processes, political life of society and political participation of citizens, manipulation as a kind of political and psychological influence, modern political elite.   Upon completion of the course students are supposed to know: the essence, methods and functions of political psychology; the essence and specific character of political process; the essence, structure and functions of political culture; the theory and psychology of power and power relations in Ukraine.   To be able to: work with scientific literature, particularly with original sources; make conclusions about different aspects of studying problems; use all obtained knowledge in practice.     Seminar 1. Political psychology: its substance, methods, categories and functions 1. the subject of political psychology as a science: a) the main principles of political psychology; b) notions and categories of political psychology; c) methods of researches in political psychology.
