About myself
My name is Sergei. My surname is Petrov. My full name is Sergei Ivanovich Petrov. I am Russian. I was born on March 23, 1997 in Volgograd. It is my home city.
I have a family. We are 3 in the family mother, father and me. So Im the only son. Its a pity I have neither brother nor sister. We have pets, a cat and a dog, our family is very united and we have many relatives. We are deeply attached to each other and we get on very well.
Five years ago I finished school 3 in Volgograd. Its an ordinary secondary school, not specialized one. I always did well at school and studied with great interest. I also took part in school life, attended sport sections and subject circles. My favourite subjects at school were mathematics and English. Perhaps my love to these subjects, very important for my future profession, influenced my choice. My parents also encouraged me in my desire to become an economist.
Now I am a first year student of the extramural department of Volgograd Branch of the Russian State University of Trade and Economy. Twice a year extramural students come to the University to attend lectures and classes. We take examinations at the end of each term of the academic year. I do my best to have good marks in my students card for those who fail at the exams are seriously warned by the dean and may be expelled from the University. At the University we receive instructions in different subjects and we work on our own. Its very difficult to combine work and study but we do our best to become good specialists. My ambition is to get higher education and open private business.
Many students come from different cities and villages and they live at the hostel. I live with my parents in a small two-room flat on the second floor of a big many-storeyed block of flats in a new district. We have all modern conveniences (gas, electricity, central heating, running water and etc.) and there are many shops, a green park, a cinema in our district.
My interests are: music, literature and sports. I am fond of both pop and classical music. I go in for sports. I play basketball and football. I take part in different competitions. As for my literary preferences I like to read science fiction. I like foreign languages. I'd like to know some European languages to communicate with people from different countries.
I am energetic, rather intelligent, friendly, patient and polite. I think I am never panic in a crisis. I always try to be in a good mood. I have got some friends, but my closest friend is Mike. We have much in common, besides he is always ready to help me when I am in trouble. I trust him a lot and Im sure that I can rely on him in any situation. He never lets people down. I often invite my friends to my place to listen to music, to dance and have a cup of tea with my mothers cake. Some of my friends are married and have children. Im not married, but I have a girl-friend. When I graduate from the University, we are going to marry. We hope well make a good family and want to have a son and a daughter. As you see, my biography is not long. I can only add that Im fond of travelling and my dream is to visit many countries together with my wife and children.
