People have different hobbies: travelling, sports or computer games. My hobby isnt very popular among modern teenagers. I like ballet and I want to become a famous ballet dancer. I work hard and Im sure that when I grow up, Ill travel all over the world and appear in the best theatres.

Not long ago, most people spent their holidays in the country or stayed at home. Nowadays, people can go anywhere on the planet. I like exploring new places and meeting new people and my dream is to visit South America. I have read plenty of books about the continent, its history and its modern life.

I have an unusual hobby − Chinese. You are surprised, arent you? My granddad spent 10 years in China; hes a doctor. He told me a lot about the country and its traditions and culture, but to speak Chinese I have to work hard. Next year, Im going to travel to China and I hope Ill be able to speak Chinese then.

Some of my friends say that they like sport, but in reality, they miss PE lessons and spend weekends watching TV. I dont think its healthy to do that. I am going to be a pilot because Id like to see different countries and you have to be very fit to be a pilot, so I play football and basketball. I also go swimming three times a week.

Hi, Jessica! I am pleased to see you again! You spent your holidays in Britain, didnt you?
Hello, Andrew! Yes, I did. But I didnt only travel in Britain but also in Northern Ireland. So, it was a big trip round the United Kingdom.
That sounds great. Where did you go first?
We spent a week in Wales.
What did you like most of all in Wales? The fields of daffodils? The famous Mount Snowdon?
No, I went in September and you can only see daffodils in the spring. Snowdon is a great mountain, of course, but I like waterfalls. There were plenty of lovely waterfalls. Believe me, theyre worth seeing!
Where did you go then?
To the north, to Scotland. We spent a week there, too.
What did you do there?
We took part in a cycling trip round the Lowlands.
Wow! Did you stay in tents and make fires to get warm at night? Or did you spend nights in old castles with ghosts?
Oh, no. No tents, no fires, no ghosts. We stayed in small hotels each night and after Scotland, we went to Northern Ireland. Its a nice place to spend a holiday. Especially for people who are fond of gardening.
Really? Why?
The winter is warm and the summer is sunny. Perfect weather for plants, isnt it?
And then you went to England, didnt you?
Youre right. We went to London, Cambridge and Stratford-Upon-Avon. We visited lots of museums and enjoyed walking in the royal parks.
And what did you do in the evenings? Watch TV? Play computer games?
No, my new friends taught me how to play different board games and we played Scrabble and Monopoly.
I enjoy playing these games too. Come to my place tomorrow. Well have a game night.
