Hypnosis as a system-formative factor of human modified mental states

L. P. Grimak

Dr. sci. (medicine), professor, psychotherapist, Moscow

The hypnosis is studied as a trans phenomenon but not the ordinary one that is used in daily therapeutical and correctional practice. The active fragments of the named hypnosis used to be evolutionary installed into different mental states ("twilight consciousness" - S. Moscovici, "archaic heritage" - S. Freud) and assign them doubtless adaptive modality.

These states appeared to be genetically related with some kinds of behavioral reactions and mental activity, e.g. phenomena of group rallying, learning, intensification of instinctive activities, working capacity and creativity. The majority of these states and activities contributes organically into the human wheels of life that is called culture.

Key words: hypnosis, system-formative factor, states, hypnostimulation, behavior, creativity.
