2. Посетите открытое собрание общества «Анонимных алкоголиков» или расспросите консультанта по работе с зависимостью от психоактивных веществ о его каждодневной работе. Расскажите сокурсникам о том, что вы узнали во время посещения собрания или беседы с консультантом.

3. Вместе с однокурсниками обсудите, какие социальные потребности, по вашему мнению, будут наиболее актуальными в следующем десятилетии. Несмотря на то что консультанты в целом ряде случаев предоставляют «определенные экспертно-консультационные услуги в рамках своих профессиональных обязанностей, специальной литературы по экспертной консультации как профессиональной функции консультантов не публиковалось вплоть до конца 1960-х – начала 1970-х годов» (Randolph &Graun, 1988, p. 182) Первоначально консультант-эксперт[31] определялся как человек, обладающий специальными знаниями, которыми он делится с консультируемым. Поэтому считалось, что некоторые теоретические подходы к консультированию (например, адлерианский, когнитивный и бихевиоральный) наиболее полно соответствуют этому определению благодаря их образовательной и прагматической направленности. Аффективные теории считались менее подходящими из-за их сосредоточенности на установлении близких личностных отношений и в целом менее строгой структуры. В действительности, однако, экспертное консультирование может основываться на самых разных теоретических концепциях, в зависимости от потребности клиента или группы.

Независимо от теоретической ориентации, экспертное консультирование –это профессиональная обязанность всех консультантов, которой уделяют все больше и больше внимания (Hollis, 1997). Иногда консультанты, занимающиеся этой деятельностью, упоминаются как «консультанты-консультант-эксперты» (counselor-consultants) (Ran-doiph & Graun, 1988); в других случаях используется только термин «консультант-эксперт» (consultants).«В первую очередь [консультация является] процессом, протекающим в сфере человеческих отношений» (Dougherty, 1995, р. V). Для того чтобы эксперт-консультация оказалась действительно полезной, установление личностного ' контакта необходимо в той же степени, что и профессиональный подход к работе. Консультационная работа также требует высокой чувствительности к культурным нюансам и мультикультуральным проблемам (Jackson & Hayes, 1993).
