Mary Stark -..................... former girlfriend of Prince Andrew - is
pregnant. In................. following interview she speaks about..........................
pregnancy, describing.................... astonishment she felt at discovering she
was to become.................. mother for.................. first time at................... age
of 37.
Mary Stark began her career as a journalist at the journal "Economics and
Economy". In.................. recent years (=of late) her career
has gone from strength to strength. Today she plans to give birth to........................... baby and
bring up her child in.................... England, though she
herself was born in................... USA and her parents live in one of.........................
states of................ America.
Here is................... interview Mary Stark gave to one of.........................
magazines:
Mary, was this baby planned?
No, it was just..................... wonderful surprise. I was over........................
moon in fact. I never had.................... moment's hesitation or depression
about it and I haven't felt as well for....................... ages.
Is this perfect timing for you?
On.................. practical level.................... timing is far from perfect.
............. events of last year made me face........................ death and..................
illness and I wondered for.................... first time if sadly I would never be
blessed with................. child. But I had always expected to be.........................
mother and have often longed for...................... child to love and care for.
And who is................. father of................ child?
That I am not saying. I feel strongly that this is.............................. private
Does that mean that you are not seeing.......................... father anymore?
He knows that I am pregnant and I feel I will have this loyalty and friendship for
............. rest of our lives but I'll be bringing up..........................
child on my own.
Do you feel alarmed at..................... idea of being................... single parent?
I am actually really looking forward to............................ whole experience of
motherhood. I do believe.................... marriage is................... wonderful
institution and obviously..................... ideal conditions for..................... child to
grow up in are.................. stable and secure home with parents who are
married and love each other. But I've also known of children who have been
damaged by what they've witnessed in....................... bad marriage. I
don't thing not being married is going to deprive my child of..............................
secure and loving home. I'll just have to provide it by myself and hope that one day
there will be.................. husband to help me.
Would you like Prince Andrew to be......................... godparent of your child?
I would be greatly honoured if he agreed to it but I think that's................................. matter to
be discussed after.................. baby's birth.
Do you have any preference for....................... boy or................. girl?
I don't mind at all. I just pray that.......................... child is healthy.
What do you most want for your child in life?
Health - and by that I mean physical, emotional and mental health. All I want is
for my child to be happy, well-balanced and to have............................ peace of mind.
