INTERRELATION OF SOCIAL NOTIONS OF RUSSIANS AND GERMEN WITH PSYCHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF CULTURES (by the example of hospitality situation)
N. M. Lebedeva *, O. V. Markovskaya **
* ScD (psychology), head of cross-cultural section of Institute of ethnology and anthropology of RAS, Moscow
** PhD, head of educational department, Institute of tourism and hospitality, Moscow
The comparative analysis of social notions of Russian and German respondents about goals, standards, rules and behavior role models in cross-cultural situations of interactions is conducted. It is shown that cultural specificity of social notions about hospitality situation in the examined ethnical groups is determined by different psychological dimensions in cultures: "feminity", "collectivism" and "high level of vagueness avoidance" for Russians; and "individualism" and "authority distance" for Germen.
Key words: social notions, situation, culture, cultural community, cultural specificity
