About social adaptation to job

Dr. sci. (sociology), assistant professor of the chair of psychology, Kaunas University of Technology, Litva.

The problems of adaptation to job are considered and the factors of organizational culture, motivation, communication, stress and interaction between personality and environment are elicited. It was shown that relation to the problem of adaptation have changed after introducing of informational systems, emergence of new kinds of job and misbalance between supply and demand for human resources. It is emphasized that contemporary system of personnel selection is aimed at recruiting of people who have values mostly consistent with the values of organization and facilitate effective adaptation.
