** Cand. sci. (psychology), sen. res. ass., IP RAS

The principles of situational approach in psychological researches are systemized. The content of contemporary psychological theory of situation is analyzed from three explorative aspects: 1) psychological peculiarities of every-day situations of human life with interrelation of situational and personal variables; 2) subjective interpretation of situations, their cognitive-emotional representations; 3) behavioral strategies and another forms of activity in the context of concrete situations. The main proposition of this theory allows to explain interaction of a man and situation in dynamics and to analyze situation-related changes in mind and behavior of a man.

Key words: situation, event, subject of activity, subjective interpretation of situation, cognitive-emotional representation of situation, dynamics, behavior.
