Possessive adjectives.

Possessive adjectives come before a noun. e.g.:It’s my cat.

 

Fill in the correct possessive adjective.

e.g.: Would you like (she) car? Would you like her car?

Use of English

Possessive pronouns.

Possessive pronouns don’t take a noun after them. e.g.:It’s mine.

Use of English

Reflexive pronouns.

Possessive pronouns emphasize the subject or the object of a sentence. e.g.: I cleaned the house myself. Don’t use reflexive pronouns with the verbs: concentrate, feel, meet and relax. The verbs dress, wash and shave are not normally followed by a reflexive pronoun. Exception: when we want to show that someone did something with a lot of effort. e.g.: Although Mary is two years old, she can wash herself.

 

Fill in the correct reflexive pronoun.

e.g.: My grandmother often talks toherself.

Use of English

Possessive Case.

· We add ’s when a noun is singular to show possession. This is girl’s balloon. · We add ’when a noun is plural and ends in – s to show possession. This is girls’ balloons. · We add ’sto the last noun of a phrase to show possession. This is Ann and Kate’s balloon.
