The paper highlights the importance of logical thinking of students in terms of student centered learning; classification of different kinds of thinking; the importance of the creative human thinking.

The paper considers logic as the science of thinking is characterized by logical thinking as a mental process; the characteristics and peculiarities of thinking of students in early adolescence; the basic forms of logical thinking.

Special place in work is the concept of non-standard tasks. Deals with the concept of tasks, exercises, questions; classification tasks; formation and rotwitt logical thinking of pupils by means of non-standard tasks; one task unleashed in various ways in the formation of logical thinking of students.
