1) My name is Ann and I live in Poltava.
2) My family is not big. 3) There are four
of us: my parents, Serhiy and Olena, my
younger brother Petro, aged ten, and me.
4) My father is a manager in a building
company. 5) My mother is a therapist and
she works in a local hospital.
6) I go to school but I can’t say that I’m
very good at studying. 7) My favourite
school subjects are Literature, History and
English. 8) I’m mad about English because
I like travelling and communicating with
people from other countries. 9) The subjects
I’m not good at are Maths and Physics
because I don’t like dealing with numbers.
10) As you understand, I’m a sociable
person and have got many friends. 11) My
friends say that I’m reliable and honest.
12) I can add that I am not very determined.
13) Sometimes I find it difficult to take important
decisions. 14) Also I would like to be
more patient and hardworking. 15) But I hope
to develop these traits in myself with time.
16) Besides reading, learning English and
spending time with my friends, I like drawing
and making hand-made gifts. 17) What
I dislike is quarrelling with people and I dislike
those who do not keep their promises.

5) Моя мама — терапевт, вона працює
у місцевій лікарні.
6) Я ходжу до школи, але я не можу
сказати, що гарно навчаюсь. 7) Мої
улюблені шкільні предмети — літе-
ратура, історія та англійська мова.
8) Я обожнюю англійську, тому що
я люблю подорожувати та спілкуватись
з людьми з інших країн. 9) Предмети,
які мені не дуже подобаються,— мате-
матика та фізика, тому що я не люблю
мати справу з цифрами.
10) Як ви розумієте, я комуніка-
бельна людина і у мене багато друзів.
11) Мої друзі говорять, що я надійна та
чесна. 12) Я можу додати, що я не дуже
рішуча. 13) Іноді мені важко приймати
важливі рішення. 14) Також я б хотіла
бути більш терплячою та працелюбною.
15) Але я сподіваюсь з часом розвинути
в собі ці риси.
16) Окрім читання, вивчення ан-
глійської мови і проведення часу з мої-
ми друзями, я люблю малювати і робити
подарунки власноруч. 17) Що мені не
подобається, так це сваритися з людь-
ми, а також не подобаються ті, хто не
дотримується своїх обіцянок.
